Oculus House At Sundance - VR for Good PremiereAfter months of post work, the 9 VR projects we worked on in our partnership with Oculus premiered at Sundance. For each of the 9 projects, Oculus paired a non-profit with a rising film maker to make a VR film bringing a variety of social missions to life. The projects used several different VR cameras—Nokia Ozo, GoPro Odyssey, Freedom 360, underwater GoPro—and we did all of the online stitching and final conforms.

2017 VR FestA couple of our VR videos were entered into this year's VR Fest which takes place during CES. One of our vidoes won for Best Live Action Music Video for Umphrey's Magee Puppet String.

Shinola Detroit Factory TourOur VR piece starring Luke Wilson finally went live, and the press releases started rolling in:

GMC #enlistme 360 VideoFor GMC's campaign to support smart homes for severaly injured veterans, we worked on a 360 video that let's the viewer sky dive alongside a couple of very cool vets.

100th Indy 500For the 100th running of the Indy 500, we were sent to the speedway to provide mulitple 360 cameras to live stream the race. We had a camera on the flag stand with the cars racing directly below you, a camera at the exit of pit row, and the third camera at Gasoline Alley. We also captured footage with our Freedom360 rigs to cut together a highlight reel of the time trials weekend.

Hilton Barbados 360 videoIn January, we spent 5 days in Barbados shooting a 360 video for the Hilton resort. The shoot took us to some amazing locations. There are 2 componets to this project. The first is a marketing video to be released to the normal VR capable platforms, but the second is for a unique installation. A custom coin operated style viewfinder was built to house a Gear 360 headset to be placed in a Chicago train station in the middle of winter. Looking through the viewfinder takes the viewer to the beach of the Hilton Barbados resort. The message is simple—You could be here!

These Machines Are WinningAnother music video shoot, this time the location is Palo Duro Canyon. Using the Sony A7Sii to shoot under the light of the full moon, we spent 2 nights under the stars shooting footage for an upcoming music video. Here's a couple of day time shots as a teaser:
